4 keys to organising a successful workation for your team:
1 – Make sure you’ve got high-speed internet
Wi-fi is more important than running water when it comes to operating your business from a different location. Your team need to open laptops and get to work, so rock-solid internet connections for everyone is critical.
2 – Consider the distractions
The big city might have the fast internet you need, but they might also offer a smorgasbord of attractions to distract your team and negatively impact productivity.
Choose your location (and venue) wisely, and you’ll strike the right balance between enough activities for everyone to make the most of their leisure time, and still remain fully focussed during working hours.
3 – Think about time zones
Considering the local time is essential when selecting a location for your team workation. Disregard this and you run the risk of causing inconvenience to your employees and customers.
4 – Book everything early
The bigger your group, the further in advance you’ll want to book.
And you’ll need to book everything all at once, there’s no point in having beds in hotels and reservations in restaurants and meeting spaces if the flights are full when you go to book them.
Plan your itinerary, and get it all booked. Your team will thank you too, it’ll allow them to make any arrangements they need to outside work.
